Repeat Prescriptions
Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in the following ways:
- You can register for our online services and order via the link at the top of this page. Please speak to a member of our reception staff about registering.
By Phone
- To order your repeat prescriptions we have a separate telephone line – call 0114 283 0863.
- You can ring this line 24 hours a day and leave a message on the answer phone. However, if you prefer to speak to a receptionist, you can ring Monday to Friday 11am to 12 noon and a receptionist will take your call.
In Surgery
- Requests for repeat prescriptions can be left in the box in the waiting area.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Electronic Prescription Service
This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.
This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.
To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.
Dispensary
We dispense prescriptions for those patients who live more than one mile from the nearest pharmacy.
We will dispense to patients living in Bolsterstone, Ewden Valley, Greenmoor, Langsett, Midhopestone, Wharncliffe Side and Wortley during surgery opening hours. Please allow two working days if you would like a repeat prescription request to be dispensed.
Should you require urgent medication when the Dispensary is closed, please ring 111 who will be able to help you..
